— My son, take at least one loaf of bread for the trip.

— No. I need to fast.

Jesus retires to spend 40 days fasting and praying.

3rd day of fasting

Mary goes to the market to buy food and people-watch.

— Mary!

— Marta!  How are you?

— I am well.  Do you know about you relative John, son of Zechariah?

— John?

— He is walking along the banks of the Jordan baptizing people.  — Maria keeps that information in her heart, finishes her shopping and goes home.

Arriving home, she began to pray.

12th day of fasting...

After nine days of prayer she got the answer she had been asking for.  Jesus was going to meet John. Mary then began to prepare everything for the trip.

21st day of fasting...

— Mary!

— Mathew!  How are you?

— I am well.  Want help tidying up the carpentry?

— Yes. — Soon they are joined by 5 more boys.

After everything is arranged, they break a loaf of bread and share about the story of Moses.  Each of the boys takes a loaf of bread home.  They didn't realize it, but Maria had been fasting for 21 days and didn't eat a crumb of bread.

— Joseph taught me everything I know.  He was the best carpenter and bricklayer I ever knew.  Are you going to sell the carpentry?

— As soon as it's decided. Jesus goes to meet you.

39th Day of Fasting...

Mary was preparing a dinner for when Jesus returned.

End of Fast...

Jesus comes home and sees the table full.

— Jesus!

— Lady!  I didn't need all that.

— Shall we go to the banks of the Jordan?

— Yes to Carfanaum near our relatives.

— Everything is ready for us to go.  All that's left is to deliver the carpentry.

 Later...

— Jesus!

— Mathew!  I brought some meat.

— Thanks.

— Can you take care of the carpentry?

— Of course!

— Please pass on my father Joseph's teachings to others.

— So I will.

With everything arranged Jesus and Mary go to Carfanaum.  Where Jesus' ministry in this world began.

Mary knew that her role from now on was to intercede for everything to happen according to God's will.

When passing through the desert you will have moments of turmoil.  Your weapons are prayer and fasting.  As you face the desert, God has already ordered everything to be prepared.  And Our Lady intercedes for you.
